Comic books have always been about Gods and Monsters. What made Stan Lee's Marvel Comics different, they always sprinkled humanity in the mix. Black Panther gave me a connection to a broader world when there were no portraits in media doing something great that looked like me. Now they've given all us Wanda and GODDAMN GODDAMN, she's the most human of us all. Some could call her a stereotype, she doesn't want to lead an army, be a Queen, or head a corporation. She wants simply to be a wife and mother, that's her happy place. But she's a God and like most Gods she gives pleasure and also pain. Something that all creatures do big and small. This chapter in the Wanda saga ended with episode 9 today. I'm pretty sure it left most starving for more, I know I am. In the mean time I'll be pondering if Stan Lee was telling us all along that we're all Gods and Monsters.
